EXPERIENCE THE PINNACLE DIFFERENCE IN JAPAN

With a fascinating choice of excursions available, Pinnacle students will be able to soak up the unique Japanese culture and discover some of the country’s finest tourist attractions.

Our groups can spend the day visiting the 240 year old Masuichi Sake Brewery, witness the snow monkeys bathing in natural hot springs and finish with a stop at one of Japan’s most famous temples – the Zenkoji Temple, where the first image of Buddha was brought to Japan back in the 7th Century.  Or you could explore the bright, vibrant city of Tokyo - whatever you decide, Pinnacle groups will travel to their chosen destination in style on the world famous ‘Shinkansen’ (the bullet train), with a top speed of 186 mph… a unique experience for all!

TOKYO

The sheer level of energy is the most striking aspect of Japan's capital city. Tokyo is a place where the urgent rhythms of consumer culture collide with the quieter moments that linger from older traditions. The area of Shinjuku is renowned as one of the liveliest areas in Tokyo. A great place to visit at night time, when it comes alive with neon lights and lively big screens and Tokyo-ites out for a good time! Stroll through peaceful gardens, explore the local fish markets and sample the wonderful sushi… Tokyo is one of a kind!

JIGOKUDANI WILD MONKEY HOTSPRINGS

The world famous Jigokudani wild monkey hot-springs is home to about 200 wild monkeys who spend their days soaking in the natural hot springs, keeping warm during the winter months. The park was opened in 1964 and is considered to be one of the only places in the world to see snow monkeys bathing in the wild. The hike to the hot-springs takes about 20 to 30 minutes each way, but it’s well worth the effort… a fantastic experience and highly recommended!

A ski trip to Japan is a once in a lifetime experience. This diverse country combines fantastic skiing and a unique cultural experience.
