Wedged between the two arms of Cook Inlet and the imposing Chugach Mountains, Anchorage is a sprawling city located in one of the world’s most spectacular settings - Alaska. Anchorage is the perfect base to explore the vast wilderness and join Pinnacle on a variety of exciting excursion options.

THE WEATHER & SNOW IN ALASKA

Despite Alaska’s northerly latitude, Alyeska receives an abundance of natural snow and offers weather patterns similar to New England. In fact, by mid February, Alyeska boasts more daylight hours than any other ski area in North America. As for the snow, it doesn’t get any better than Alaska. It averages more than 700 inches of natural snow each season and had a record high of 1,116 inches a couple of years back! The long days and deep snow enables Pinnacle groups to experience this magical place from November through to May!
